Up reasonably early to pack and wedge everything in the car.
Farewell
to Susan and then a leisurely drive to Burns, Tennessee to the PUF
Festival.
Arrived
about 4:30, settled into our cabin and headed to dinner. The cabin
has single beds, so no snuggling for warmth. There are mattress pads
(?) but a hard wood base.
Found
out we needed to purchase (or have brought) “feasting gear,” so
we bought plastic plates, bowls, cups and utensils. Apparently the
routine is you wash your own dishes after every meal. After a nice
warm meal of potato soup and chicken stew, we cleaned up. (Since WE
are entertainment, our meals are provided,)
Spent
some time visiting with Brian, who pulled in just about suppertime,
Mama Gina, and some new acquaintances, we went to a CD release party
by Rowena Whaling.
Back
to the cabin to rest.
I'm
learning a lot on this trip. We were going South, right? So we packed
for warmer weather---shorts, t-shirts, short sleeved shirts...a
couple long sleeves just in case. Well. It was comfortable enough in
St. Augustine...a bit cool in Mississippi….and it's in the low 50's
here in Tennessee. We did NOT bring enough blankets or jackets.
Brrrrrrrrrr.
I'm typing this

I think you meant "futons" instead of "mattress pads," or maybe "bedrolls"? Too bad about the lack of cuddles, too!
