There and Back Again

The “RAINY DAY” post was written late Saturday morning, but would not send due to lack of wi-fi, and only posted this morning.
The rest of the story:
The day remained sporadically rainy but none of the threatened thunderstorms arrived.
The children were able to do their maypole dance while Ginger sang and played for them.
In the early evening Ginger and Brian each played a set, and a bit together. The (unfortunately small) audience seemed to enjoy it.

After a scheduled workshop, Ginger and Brian (and a few fans) remained behind to jam and experiment with new songs, while a lot of the attendees went to the bonfire and drum circle. I stayed for an hour or so, but finally retreated to our trailer to read.
Brian & Ginger came back about midnight or so and we all went to sleep, soothed by the rhythmic sounds of Brian's snoring. If you think he's guitar and singing are the only unique sounds he can produce…… (Actually, we were all able to sleep soundly both nights.)
We arose Sunday to a beautiful morning, and had a nice breakfast and visit with others there. I was at last able to see just how big and lovely the Our Haven Sanctuary is. I am looking forward to a return visit when the weather will permit exploration.            These are good folks.
We headed home in the early afternoon.
We stopped to show me the awesome building at the West Baden Springs Hotel in French Lick (https://www.frenchlick.com/hotels/westbaden). Definitely worth the stop, and would be an exciting luxurious place to stay if the budget allowed. At one time the largest free-spanning dome in the United States.

We grabbed a quick lunch at Porky's BBQ (which we vowed to make an annual stop) and then hit the road.

Unfortunately, we hit one of those mysterious delays/traffic jams on the freeway that lasted for that Lasted well over an hour and never revealed a cause. Once we got moving from that delay, within a few miles the skies opened and the rain slowed us to a much lower speed.
We finally got home about 11:30 and quickly unloaded. Poor Brian had at least another hour or more to drive to get home.
We unpacked, unwound, and soon went to bed.
This morning (Monday) we are up, planning loading for the BIG trip. Ginger is doing laundry and revising lists...I've been list-making and doing financial things.
I'm about to go over and check on mom.
I promise I'll keep working on the editing techniques and have this easier on the eyes before we leave for THE BIG TRIP Thursday.
