Arose at a
reasonable hour, ate a quick Super 8 breakfast and off on the road.
The weather was
rainy and gloomy, but Ginger enjoyed the traveling through the Blue
Ridge Mountains. Once we descended, the sky was clear and beautiful.
It took about 10
hours, through Virginia, North & South Carolina and into Florida.
Had a great visit at the Georgia Welcome Center. It was National Tourism Month.

We arrived at the
home of our generous hosts, "Uncle Eddie" and Robin Mahonen about 6pm. We
unpacked, ate a nice pirogi supper and then headed out to explore a
couple musical venues. Robin gave us a nighttime tour of St.
Augustine.
I'll admit to being
tired from driving so we got back and were asleep about midnight.
Timing from Wytheville to Florida sounds about right. You did good!
